Greater Works

The Weapons of War

John 14:12
He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater
works than these he shall do; because I go unto my Father.

The ministry Jesus did on this earth was directed, guided and energized by the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit that you and I have. Jesus functioned as man on the earth and not as God. He was anointed by the Holy Spirit with power to performed the superhuman miracles and healing. His ministry on earth ad every miracle done was simply done through one or more of the gifts operating

And now He promises that the believer will do the same works and greater works because He is seated at the right hand of the Father right now. Every child of God has a right to every one of the Gifts of The Holy Spirit. The gifts are for everyone in the Body of Christ.

These gifts become weapons in the hands of the believer who will learn how to use it and function in it. Now it is time for each of us rise up and take the full armor of God and march on to destroy all the works of the enemy.

You and I should see victories and battles won every day of our lives, and never know defeat. Let us reach out any get a hold the gifts and touch this dying world. This can never be done with organizational strength or by economic or political strength or even with great numbers. God can win the battle with just a few people just like He used Gideon and his faithful 300 to destroy hosts of the enemy

The Great Salvation

…So Great a Salvation…

Hebrews 2:3

The word salvation in the New Testament is an all-inclusive word that means healing, prosperity, safety, deliverance, preservation, protection. The word in the Greek is sozo or soteria. When we think of the word salvation, most Christians only think of being saved and delivered from hell or eternal damnation even though it is also included in it. We have put salvation off to the future when we should be enjoying the benefits of …so great a Salvation…” now in this life on earth.

God has provided in the Great Salvation, perfect redemption for spirit, soul and body. Since man is a triune being, that is he is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in a physical body, it also follows that our salvation in Christ must therefore include salvation for all the 3-part of man.

On the cross Jesus took our sins , being made sins for us, he took our sicknesses and diseases and on the cross He destroyed and took away everything that was against man. Healing belongs to now in the Great Salvation. If you sick in your body right now, ravaged by the cancer, diabetes, tumor, paralysis.skin problems .etc.. you can this very moment take take dominion over it in Jesus Name and remove it out of your life. He then becomes Jehovah Ropheka-The LORD my HEALER to you. It's your covenant right in Christ. It is the children's bread.

Today you and I can walk in total victory in every area of our lives 24 hours a day, 7 days an week 365 days a year because of this GREAT SALVATION that we have in Christ.

Gifts of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 12:1 ASV
(1) Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

Paul writes to the Corinthian Christians regarding the importance of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He tells them not to ignorant about them. Being ignorant means that we do not have knowledge about them or we are not aware of their functions in our lives.

The gifts are categorized in 3 categories :

1. The Spoken Gifts
2. The Revelation Gifts
3. The Power Gifts

All the Gifts of the Spirit are available to the believer and it is important that we know something about them and the operation in the church. These gifts bring revival and spiritual awakening to the believer. any time any of this gifts are functioning in its full capacity, we will find the church growing and edified.
This exhortation from Paul the apostle is as relevant to the church life today as at the time that this episte was written. Let us spend something in these devotions to study and meditate on this subject whihc is much neglected in the body of Christ.

Knowing what belongs to us..

Ephesians 1:16-20 WNT

(16) offer never ceasing thanks on your behalf while I make mention of you in my prayers.
(17) For I always beseech the God of our Lord Jesus Christ--the Father most glorious--to give you a spirit of wisdom and penetration through an intimate knowledge of Him,
(18) the eyes of your understanding being enlightened so that you may know what is the hope which His call to you inspires, what the wealth of the glory of His inheritance in God's people,
(19) and what the transcendent greatness of His power in us believers as seen in the working of His infinite might
(20) when He displayed it in Christ by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His own right hand in the heavenly realms,

Paul prays this Holy Spirit inspired prayer for the Ephesians Christians. This prayer must also be prayed by the Modern day child of God. I have personally prayed this prayer and other prayers of Paul in the epistles and found that the Lord progressive led me to the knowledge of God that we have today in our lives.

To understand the precious and glorious wealth that you and I have in Christ, we must have the spirit of wisdom and revelation. The spirit of wisdom and revelation releases the mysteries of heaven and bring to us the reality of redemption and what belongs to us in Christ. The reality of the indwelling Spirit, the reality of the New Creation, the reality of our perfect redemption, the reality of the name of Jesus..etc come to us through revelation. It does not come by any other way. Man, being a spirit, has the ability to communicate with God and receive revelations.

When we catch a glimpse of His glory, the things of this world will become dim and blurred and loses it grip on us .

So lets start praying this prayer and other in the epistles and see how much we can grow in the authority that belongs to us.

Weapons of War

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WNT
(4) The weapons with which we fight are not human weapons, but are mighty for God in overthrowing strong fortresses.
(5) For we overthrow arrogant 'reckonings,' and every stronghold that towers high in defiance of the knowledge of God, and we carry off every thought as if into slavery--into subjection to Christ

We are in spiritual warfare!! And have an enemy that is ever waiting to take advantage of us every time we are not vigilant or alert of His tactics. But yet God has given us weapons that are God-empowered, God-ordained, mighty in God and for God to pull down and overthrow every attack of the adversary.

The Battlefield is in our minds and we need to develop an effective strategy to overcome every suggestion of the devil in the area of our thought life. The veil that darkens our minds must be pulled down and every thought brought to captive, taken prisoner to the Message of the Gospel of Christ.

The scriptures identify the attack on our thought life as evil spiritual personalities and He call them “Strongholds”. Stronghold can be defined as anything that the devil uses to keep in bondage in any area of your life. Temptation, disease, demonic oppression... may be strongholds. There may be strongholds in your marriage, your relationship and every stronghold in your finances.

The apostle Paul encourages us inspite of the reality of these strongholds, to pull down, overthrow, and fling downcast down... every stronghold that towers high in defiance of the knowledge of God.

God is restoring to the church, weapons that is lost due to lack of clear teaching. back to the church. As these weaponry of war are restored the ecclesia, the called out ones-the Church of Jesus Christ will tear down the fortresses that holds us back the full benefit of our redemption and be a blessing to the world.

Renewing the Mind : Growth in Grace

Have you ever wondered why some Christians grow faster in grace than others. Have you wondered when som move in the things of God quicker thatn others. What is the secret?
What is the secret of enjoying all the benefits of the Finished Work that is available to us?

I believe that even though being born again is an experience that brings us to the miracle-realm of God, but if you and I want ot grow in grace, move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and experience God in a deeper way we need to learn what it means to renew our minds to the Word of God.

The word renew means renovation-to restore back to the original state or condition. First of all we need to find out what is the original state the mind of man was before the fall. Before the fall Adam has a mind that was in line with his spirit. A mind that was peaceful and sharp and ws albe to understanding God just as his spirit did. For us to restore back our minds to that state or position, we must begin to study the word to fnd out how God think and begin the process of thinking like Him. God's thoughts are recorded in a book call the Bible. His Words are His thoughts recorded for our benefit

Having the Mind of Christ

(Philippians 2:5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ
(1 Corinthians 2:16) For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ Jesus.

The Greatest miracle of God that could ever happen to a man would be when he accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and in an instant being born again by the Spirit of God. At that very moment there is a New Man or a New Creation.

But over here the verses above we see an exciting realm that you and I can actually walk in. Possess the mind of Christ. Possessing the mind of Christ brings us into the realm of omnipotence and the r the supernatural ability of God that is available to us. Another version of the Bible says it this way "But we have the mind of Christ, the Messiah and do hold the thoughts(feelings and purposes) of His heart."

If you are to actually possess the mind of Christ, it brings you into place that all the resources of heaven is at our disposal through the power of the name of Jesus. It places us into the place where the circumstances of life shall have dominion over you. Possessing the mind of Christ is to have have the power of God's healing to flow into our sick and weak bodies with energies of heaven that it flow with divine healing and health. Moses is a perfect example of God's invasion of the human body. He was 120 years old but his eyes was not dimmed and his natural strength was not diminished. Possessing the mind of Christ is have peace and tranquility in the time of the greatest test and trial of your faith knowing that God's Word does not fail and that God will make good in your life that which HE has promised.

When you have missed it and slipped into darkness and lost fellowship with the Father, possessing the mind of Christ means that there is the provision of the precious blood of Jesus that speaks for us in heaven -cleansing, forgiveness and deliverance and the restoration of the righteousness-consciousness that you lost when you sin. It is a conscious acknowledging that Jesus the righteous One is my advocate with the Father and that your case is settled in sight of the Father when you confess you sins. When the enemy comes against you like a flood , the ability to possess the mind of Christ is to simply depend on the Greater One on the inside to fight every battle for you. Hallelujah.

There is transforming power that is ours as we learn what it means to think the thought of Jesus
in our daily lives. As we constantly think His thoughts and let it be the dominating factor of our lives, we are empowered and energized in every area of our lives and our desires becomes His desires. But the choice to change is yours.

Make a determine decision to think that thoughts of God or Christ in every situation and circumstance and see the change that this act of replacing our thoughts with His thoughts brings.
