Exceedingly Grrowing Faith

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. Hebrews 2:1(KJV)

One way to grow in your walk with God is to never allow the things you've learned in the Word of God to get away from you. When you are introduced to more truth from the Bible, take it and add it to what you're now walking in. What you already know is a foundation on which to build. Therefore, don't throw away or forget the old. New truth does not negate the old. It is but another brick to add to the strong foundation of your spiritual house.

To walk in the blessings of God you must have faith. Therefore, it is important that we hold on to our faith and not let it slip away from us. Let's read the text from the Amplified Bible: "Since all this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths t hat we have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away."

Now notice what Paul says here (I believe that Paul is the writer of Hebrews). He says we ought to give more earnest heed to the truths we have already heard. He said we ought to pay more attention to what we already know.

In other words, what we know, we don't throw away. We don't have to get a new revelation. I've heard people say, "I don't need all that faith stuff anymore. I don't need all that confession stuff anymore. I'm past that; I'm into a deeper revelation."

But you're always going to need faith. And you're always going to have to deal with the ramifications of the words of your mouth whether you know it or not. And let me tell you, when you let these things slip away - when you let them get away from you - you pay the price.
In fact, Paul said in our text that we ought to pay even more attention to these things.
So often people learn something, they move on to somet hing else and forget about what they've already learned. You should always be adding to the house, so to speak. This way, when the trials of life come they won't even be able to shake you. You'll stand strong in the Word of God.

Look at the Eternal

2 Corinthians 4:18

The apostle Paul through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit writes to the Corinthian Christians to get their attention and focus on the eternal unseen realm. This is the realm of faith in God. the things in this natural, physical realm are subject to change. The things which are eternal are not subject to change.

The Word of God is eternal. It never changes. At the back of the Word is the very throne of grace. We can depend on it as we would depend on the word of a banker. The promises of God's Word are available for us in every circumstance of life. It covers literally every area of human existence.

When the seen realm says that you don't have enough money to pay your bills, the Word will always say "My God shall supply all your need....". When you are confused about the circumstance you are in right , the Word will always say,"The Peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep you hearts and your mind through Christ Jesus...". The You body is plagued with pain and diseases, the Word will always say, "By His stripes you were healed....".

Refuse to settle down for the norm of this world. Strive to take a step further. Determine never to allow you senses to dictate to you what to do and feel..

Authority

Power of Attorney

The individual believer and the corporate church has the legal right to use the name of Jesus in the battle against the enemy in the daily affairs of life. When He ascended on high Jesus gave us the church the right to His name. Jesus gave us the Power of Attorney to use His name.

What is the power of attorney? What is the value of It? The value of the power of attorney depends upon how much is the back of it. It depends upon how much authority and power the name represents.

If we study the scriptures and find out what is the back of the Name, how much power and authority that name represents, then we will get a glimpse of what the Name can mean to us in our daily lives.

The measure of His ability is the measure of of the value of that Name. And it belongs to the church and Jesus gave us the unqualified use of His Name. John 16:24 give us the unlimited use of His Name in prayer. Prayer prayed in His Name will receive His special attention . And when the prayer is prayed in His Name, the Father is obliged to answer it based upon the New Covenant.

When we take our position and stand in the rights and priveledges in the New Covenant and pray in Jesus Name, it passes out of our hands into the hands of Jesus. He assumes the responsibility for that prayer.

Authority

Scripture Reading : Philippians 2:9-10

The Authority and Power that is in the name of Jesus belongs to the church but yet most of the Christendom live defeated lives. Christians use the name of Jesus when saying grace and it is about all the it is used so frequently. But the Lord want us to understand the revelation that is behind the name of Jesus and the power that backs it up.

Just before Jesus ascended to heaven after he gave the command tot he disciples to "Go ye into all the world.." He gave them the unlimited use of His name in life and ministry. The book of Acts gives us an account of the exploits of the early church using the name of Jesus where ever they went. This should be the prototype of the modern in the 20 th Century we live in.

"God highly exalted Him.. " The highest authority in the Universe has placed far above any other as He has exalted and lifted Him up and gave and conferred Him Name that is above every other name in three worlds-heaven, earth and hell. every being in heaven, on earth and under the earth will have to bow down and submit to the wonderful name of Jesus.

His name is above every sickness and disease, financial difficulty, family and relationship problems and habit. If there is name named in these three worlds then the Name of Jesus has full authority over these. The omnipotent power of God is available to us but the church is still in its infancy in understanding this great Revelation that we fin in the Pauline epistles.

The Name above all name -Jesus belong to us . Let's begin to us it in our daily warfare.
