Freedom from Guilt

Psa 103:10-14
(10) He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
(11) For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
(12) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
(13) Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
(14) For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

So many good church going Christians, spirit-filled walking in the things of God in a measure going to great churches are plagued by a disease called "guilt". Many struggled to forget the sins and mistakes of the past and continue to live a silent life of torment and fear.

God has provided a way whereby you and I can be free from the power of guilt. You can be so free from guilt and condemnation that stifles our faith from becoming robust. The Word of God tells us that He has not dealt with us according our sins nor has He rewarded us based upon our sins. He is a gracious Father.

When Jesus died on the cross, He settled the sin problem when He sat down at the Right hand of the Father and became our Righteousness. His blood that He shed is the cleansing agent of every inward sin that is committed whether it is a thought , word or deed. There is the promise of His blood continuously cleansing us from evey the sin that we may not be aware of . 1 John 1:7 is a great scripture to claim and walk in. Recognize that His blood cleanses from sin and guilt and as the old hymns says it it has double cure for sin ans guilt.

When I was young boy of 12 growing in a Presbyterian church, all I knew about prayer was confessing my sins to God. One day while trying to remember all my sins and confessing to God , the Holy Spirit spoke up from within me and quoted Romans 8:1 that say that there is no condemnation them who are in Christ Jesus... At the very moment I realized that Satan's' conspiracy against believers is to hurl at them thoughts of guilt and condemnation of the things which are past... Since that day I have personally grown to apply the blood and "No condemnation" position in Christ every time he comes by to remind of the past. Praise His Name.

Today is the day of your salvation. If you are torment by guilt make a quality decision that you never yield a single moment to the power of guilt. Use the blood of Jesus , meditate on scriptures that speaks of your righteousness and your standing with God and resist guilt just like you would resist and enemy in the name of Jesus.
